Audi Q3: Headlamp Washer System

Overview - Headlamp Washer System

1 - Washer Fluid Hose

• For the right spray nozzle

2 - Bolt

• 0.9 Nm
• Quantity: 2

3 - Right Spray Nozzle

• Removing and installing. Refer to → Chapter "Spray Nozzles, Removing and Installing".
• The nozzles are already adjusted by the manufacturer and must not be adjusted after installation.

4 - Windshield Washer Fluid Reservoir

5 - Headlamp Washer Pump -V11-

• Removing and installing. Refer to → Chapter "Headlamp Washer Pump -V11-, Removing and Installing".

6 - Grommet

• Replace if damaged.

7 - Left Spray Nozzle

• The nozzles are already adjusted by the manufacturer and must not be adjusted after installation.
• Removing and installing. Refer to → Chapter "Spray Nozzles, Removing and Installing".

8 - Bolt

• 0.9 Nm
• Quantity: 2

9 - Washer Fluid Hose

• For the left spray nozzle

10 - Washer Fluid Hose

• From the Headlamp Washer Pump -V11-

Headlamp Washer Pump -V11-, Removing and Installing

Special tools and workshop equipment required

• Drip tray

Removing

- Remove the left front wheel spoiler. Refer to → Body Exterior; Rep. Gr.66; Wheel Housing Liner; Front Wheel Housing Liner, Removing and Installing.

- Place a drip tray under the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

- Press the release button -2- and remove the washer fluid hose -3- from the Headlamp Washer Pump -V11--4-.

- Turn the headlamp washer system pump clockwise -arrow- and disconnect the connector -5-.

- Remove the headlamp washer pump upward and out of the washer fluid reservoir.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Check the grommet -1- for damage.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

• Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm -3094-
• Drip tray

Removing

- Remove the horn. Refer to → Chapter "High Tone Horn -H2-/Low Tone Horn -H7-, Removing and Installing".

- Remove the fog lamp. Refer to → Chapter "Fog Lamp, Removing and Installing".

- Clamp off the windshield washer fluid hose -1- with the Hose Clamps - Up to 25 mm -3094-.

- Pull the spray nozzle telescope -2- all the way out of the bumper cover in direction of -arrow A-.

• Hold the telescope in the pulled-out position.

- Expand the side pieces -3- on the cover -1- for the spray nozzle in direction of -arrow B- and carefully disconnect it from the retaining pin and remove it.

  Note

Lay a cloth under the coupling point to catch any washer fluid.

- Push the release button -3- and remove the windshield washer fluid hose -1- from the spray nozzle.

- Remove bolts -arrows- and remove the spray nozzle -2-.

  Note

If the spray nozzle depending of the vehicle equipment cannot be removed as described, the front wheel spoiler must be removed and the left washer fluid reservoir. To remove the front wheel spoiler. Refer to → Body Exterior; Rep. Gr.66; Wheel Housing Liner; Front Wheel Housing Liner, Removing and Installing, to remove the washer fluid reservoir. Refer to → Chapter "Washer Fluid Reservoir, Removing and Installing".

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

• Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm -3094-
• Drip Tray

Removing

- Remove the front wheel spoiler. Refer to → Body Exterior; Rep. Gr.66; Wheel Housing Liner; Front Wheel Housing Liner, Removing and Installing.

- Clamp off the windshield washer fluid hose -1- using Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm -3094-.

- Pull the spray nozzle telescope -2- out of the bumper cover until it stops -arrow A-.

• Hold the telescope in the pulled-out position.

- Expand the side bolsters -3- on the cover -1- for the spray nozzle -arrow B- and carefully disconnect it from the retaining pin and remove it.

  Note

Lay a cloth under the coupling point to catch any washer fluid.

- Push the release button -3- and remove the windshield washer fluid hose -1- from the spray nozzle.

- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the spray nozzle -2-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
